~Brown Eyed Girls – Drunk On Sleep [Inst]~
She was beside me when I woke up, along with a boy I didn’t know.
“He’s awake.” The boy said.
“You all right?” She asked. “We had to bring you to the ICU, your fever was so high. They say you suffer from typhus symptoms, but you can go home tonight if you felt better.”
“Thank you,” I said. She put her hand on my cheek and I blushed unintentionally.
“Seems like you’ve recovered.” She smiled. “This is my cousin, Seung-ri.”
The boy stood up and offered his hand. “Annyeong~ Lee Seung-hyun imnida. Call me Seung-ri.”
“Kang Dae-sung imnida.” I sat down and shook his hand firmly. “Thanks for your help.”
“No problem. You’re at noona’s class too?”
“Ne. Waegurae?”
“So… you’re in for tomorrow, too?” asked him shyly.
“What’s going on tomorrow, Seung-ri?” Shin-ae asked curiously.
“YG Entertainment will hold an audition at our university; they’re forming a male group. Didn’t you hear the news, noona?”
“Aniya, I skipped class today and that’s why you looked for me, right?” she said.
“Jinja?” I can’t believe it. YG Entertainment?
“Ne, I’m practicing my dance moves this morning but I’m not confident at all. I heard Tae-yang is joining.” He began to pace around the room. “What chance did I have to win from him?”
“Is he that good?” I asked.
“He won the Seoul Open Freestyle Dance Competition three times in a row up till this year, you see.” Shin-ae explained. “It’s not something that anyone can do. Well, you just have to do your best, Seung-ri. Fighting!”
I smiled looking at her excited face.
“I’m in.” I said.
“I’ll be supporting both of you, then.” she said excitedly.
“I’ll escort her to the dorm. You must focus on practicing for tomorrow, right?” I said to Seung-ri who was waiting beside Shin-ae.
“Okay then. Noona, your key… before I forgot.” He said, holding a key with his forefinger.
“Oops. No wonder Hye-mean unnie freaked out. Gomawo Seung-ri ah ~”, she said.
“Ye.” He paused for a second before going out. “Dae-sung ssi… good luck.”
“You too.”
On the road. 5.50 P.M.
~Big Bang – Sunset Glow~
“So you’ll be singing tomorrow?” asked her when I drove her home.
I smiled. “Well, perhaps. Actually, I still haven’t figured that out yet… but singing seems like a good idea, since I just have to go and sing. No practices.”
“Really?”
I shrugged and gave her a mischievous smile. “Will you watch us?”
She glanced innocently at me and said, “You think?”
When I looked at her, the sunset was shining on her face, making her looked prettier than ever. Aigoo~ she’s making me blush again, I thought while trying to regain my composure.
“Well… I… I don’t know.” Why, of all time, did I have to be nervous NOW?!
She giggled. “Of course I’ll come. I haven’t seen Seung-ri danced for a long time.”
Phew.
Finally we reached the dorm and she got out.
“Annyeong~” said her playfully.
“See you tomorrow,” I waved to her and left.
But somehow I felt uneasy when I left her standing there…
Tae-yang
Solstice VIP Room. 7 P.M
~Taeyang – Where U At~
She isn’t here yet. Did something happen? I’m sure her shift should be now…
I checked the employee schedule, and yes, her name is in the shift for tonight. Aish… I shouldn’t think about her so much. Better get myself ready for tomorrow.
I practiced my dance moves again; but I can’t seem to concentrate, so I decided to go out to get some fresh air.
The streets are just the same at night; some part was dark, and some was bright and colorful. I took a stroll away, trying to empty my mind. Suddenly I heard the sound of a muffled scream of a woman. I rushed to where the sound is from and saw the silhouette of a woman, cornered by three men. Ruffians, I thought. They’re everywhere.
“Don’t you dare scream. You don’t want this went off in your face, right?” said one of them, waving a knife in front of her. I walked towards them, trying not to make a sound… but they realized my presence.
“Let her go,” I said calmly.
“You little punk, you dare to stand against us?” said the one holding the knife; probably the leader.
Then I saw her face, scared and pale…
Filled with anger, I rushed towards them.
